We Welcome Farrah
Refugee Committee Update
Just over five years ago, five parishes joined forces to sponsor a refugee family. None of us expected that five years later, we would still be an active committee. As you are aware, just over a year and a half ago we welcomed Natheer and Mervat and their three children to Canada. This family is now well on the way to being fully integrated into Canadian society. They are expecting a new baby in the near future. We were blessed to have been able to raise enough money to sponsor another refugee. In less than a week, we will welcome Farrah, a single lady from Syria to our great country and province. The committee had very short notice of her arrival and are currently working hard to arrange for her needs and quarantine. Please pray for our committee, our
refugee family already here and for God’s hand on Farrah as she arrives and adjusts to life in Canada.
